Square Enix announced a Legend of Mana: The Teardrop Crystal anime during the Mana series 30th anniversary livestream.
The new Legend of Mana: The Teardrop Crystal anime is being produced by Warner Bros. Japan, with animation by Graphinica, and with a collaboration via Yokohama Animation Lab. A premiere date wasn’t confirmed.
Here’s a comment from Mana series producer Masaru Oyamada:
When I received the proposal for the anime adaptation, the HD remastered version of “The Legend of Mana” was not even being discussed. I attended the meeting with a light heart, just to talk about it. But what Mr. Yawata of Warner Bros. expressed his love for Legend of Mana and the anime adaptation in his pitch, I realized we had to make the remastered game as soon as possible. And that’s how the remastered version started, supposedly.
Don’t worry, Legend of Mana fans. The people involved in this anime are definitely adults who still have the same love for Legend of Mana that they had back then.
