When it comes to Spider-Man, many people no doubt think of Peter Parker, the lovable loser that has been under the mask since the character’s invention. But he’s not the only Spider-Man out there, and for the PS5 launch, another Spidey will get the spotlight in Miles Morales. The title will serve as a sequel to the 2018 game (that you’ll be able to get a remastered version of with the Ultimate Edition of this game), and now we have some new details about it, as well as a look at the first boss.
The most recent issue of Game Informer ran a lengthy story on the upcoming superhero game. While part of it was on the tech part of the PS5 version, which you can read more about here, they also had a few story details. As hinted out by the most recent clever Daily Bugle marketing story, Peter Parker will play a role in the story, but will not be playable as emphasis will stay on Miles. The game serves as a direct sequel to the 2018 title and will see character progression for both characters.
It’s also said there are going to be some surprise, as of now unannounced, villains pop up in the game. But speaking of villains, Game Informer also got some clips of the first boss fight with a familiar face, the Rhino. You can see clips they’ve chopped together of the fight below, and it even includes a brief shot of both Peter and Miles together.
Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales will release for both PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4 on November 12th.
