Microsoft Flight Simulator's file size has been revealed by Xbox Game Pass to be nearly 100GB.
As reported by Pure Xbox, Twitter user Idle Sloth posted an image of the base game file size for Microsoft Flight Simulator, which shows it as being 97.2GB, only a few gigabytes off being a whopping 100GB.

Xbox users have gained access to this data by using the "Manage with Game Pass" on the Flight Simulator page, which brings up the game's total file size. Considering that the game hasn't actually been released yet, it's possible that the file size will actually end up being even bigger than that, especially if something like a day one patch is made available.
It's worth noting that the Microsoft Store approximate size says that Microsoft Flight Simulator could become more than 150GB in size, which implies that this 97GB is the game's basic install data, not including any updates or extra data added on.
To compare this to the PC release of the game, Microsoft Flight Simulator needs a recommended 150GB in order to play, which seems to be why the Xbox store implies that the game's file size might eventually reach the same numbers.
