Capcom have revealed an upcoming demo update for Monster Hunter Rise, along with the game having free post-launch updates.
The trailer from the Monster Hunter Digital Event livestreamm shows off some of the environments and monsters from prior trailers, alongside new and old foes revealed for the first time. Returning monsters include Nargacuga, Zinogre. A previous teaser on Twitter also revealed Anjanath, Kulu-Ya-Ku, Tobi-Kadachi, and Pukei-Pukei.
The trailer also reveals Chameleos will be added to the game as a free update in late April, along with several other new monsters. The Hunter Rank cap and related features will also be unlocked. Another free update adding more new monsters will release some time after that.
Finally, the end of the trailer reveals a a new demo will be available from March 11th for a limited time. Players will be able to challenge Magnamalo this time around, along with the Great Izuchi and Mizutsune quests from the prior demo. Those who played the prior demo will have it updated, along with the number of quests they can take on reset.

As previously reported, the game will be the first mainline Monster Hunter title since the successful Monster Hunter World. Players return to the original style of gameplay, this time taking place in an eastern-style region, along with new mechanics, and monsters inspired by Japanese mythology.
