Nintendo has announced a brand new Pokemon-themed Switch Lite model to celebrate the upcoming launch of Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl. It's called the Dialga & Palkia Edition, themed on the games' two legendaries.
It's a dark grey onyx colour with silver and gold outlines of the Pokemon on the back, themed around the DS Lite model which was almost identical in design.

It releases on November 5, 2021, 15 years on from the DS Lite's original launch which was also to commemorate Pokemon's fourth generation. It is a Lite model, however, so if you forked out for a pre-order of the OLED, then you aren't missing out on a themed version of the console.
For context, Dialga and Palkia are part of the Creation Trio which also incudes Giratina, the flagship legendary Pokemon of Platinum who also appeared in Diamond and Pearl.
The trio are distinct from other legendary Pokemon as they are known as 'mythical.' It's lower-case, separate from the later termed Mythical which is upper-case – it's nice and confusing. At any rate, they were all created by Arceus, the "Original One," when the universe was born.
Due to their violent nature, Giratina was banished to the Distortion World where we find them in Platinum. It's a fitting locale given their power. Dialga controls time, Palkia space, and Giratina antimatter.
The next three Pokemon entries are all about Sinnoh, Arceus, and these legendaries, so its only fitting that a themed-console would debut to mark this occasion.
