About Lumber
As the name of the main component implies, players must gather Aged Wood from Mature Trees. These are less common than Young Trees, but can still be found abundantly enough not to cause issues for aspiring woodworkers.

This is where the naming conventions of New World can get a bit tricky, as some terms begin to seem like they are interchangeable, even though they are not. Players must gather raw Wyrdwood from relatively rare Wyrdwood Trees, however, players will need to combine this raw resource with Lumber at a Woodshop to create the refined product known as Wyrdwood Planks.

About Ironwood Planks
Much like with Wyrdwood Planks, Ironwood Planks and their component, Ironwood, are linked by name. Players must chop down hard-to-find Ironwood Trees to get the Ironwood needed to make these Tier 5 planks.
Glittering Ebony
Requirements For Crafting Glittering Ebony
- Must use a Tier 4 Woodshop or higher
- Woodworking skill must be level 200 or higher

- 4 Ironwood Planks
- 2 Wildwood
- 1 Barbvine
- 1 Obsidian Sandpaper
About Glittering Ebony
Despite also being a Tier 5 refined resource, just like Ironwood Planks, Glittering Ebony will be much harder to acquire as it not only requires fairly high-tier components but also resources that are random drops. Both Barbvine and Wildwood can be obtained as rare loot from Ironwood Trees, so players will need to cut down a ton of this less-seen forest species.
