Square Enix has announced NieR: Automatahas sold over 4.85 million units at this year’s Tokyo Game Show.
The new milestone includes worldwide shipments and digital sales across Windows PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One. The game’s most recent sales milestone was in March of this year, when it hit 4.5 million units.
To celebrate the new milestone, the game is currently 50% off, in the hopes that NieR: Automata can finally hit the coveted 5 million units mark.
NieR: Automata was originally released back in 2017, and went on to gain critical and fan acclaim. It was Niche Gamer’s game-of-the-year pick from both our community and our staff.
