No, Dying Light 2 does not have a release date yet despite the retailer listings

Recently there were listings of Dying Light 2 on EB Games with a release date of 25th May; apparently, it is just a place holder, according to the official Dying Light account.

I do not think that we will be getting any information about Dying Light 2, especially since the Lead Writer Pawel Selinger left the company this month. He posted on Linkedin, “After over twenty-two years, I decided to end my cooperation with Techland. I want to express my gratitude to the company that has allowed me to develop and fulfill myself for half of my life. Techland, I will always be rooting for you, as well as the great people I have met, thanks to you. I wish you that Dying light 2 and subsequent projects will become world hits. Goodbye, and good luck!”

Yeah, of course, this is bad news for the game, but we are supposed to get some new information on Dying Light 2 this year according to Dying Light 2’s Twitter Account; hopefully, the lead writer does not delay the game even more. I reckon that we will hear more about Dying Light 2 at some sort of E3-Like Event, or they might just surprise drop a trailer out of nowhere and hype up the fans, or they might just straight up announce a release date out of nowhere and start sharing some information about Dying Light 2. Whatever it is, I hope that this game comes out in a finished state, especially after Cyberpunk 2077’s issues
