We're about a week away from both Oro and Akira being added to Street Fighter 5, so Capcom is sharing some finalized trailers of the duo. First up is Oro, a veteran from the Street Fighter 3 titles. Retaining basically all of his specials from Street Fighter 3: Third Strike, Oro looks as wacky as ever here. Better still, his funky theme from Street Fighter 3: Second Impact has received a brand new remix.
Little touches like that show how much care Capcom has given to this final season for Street Fighter 5. The game floundered a bit for many years thanks to rushed decisions and some basic gameplay but has really come into its own over the last year and a half. Oro and Akira are unlikely to turn the fighter into a must-own, but they both look really great.

Following the release of Oro and Akira on August 16, 2021, we'll be a few months away from newcomer Luke's introduction. Fans across social media are a bit mixed on their impressions of Luke, but he could be a complete dud and that wouldn't matter. Season Five for Street Fighter 5 has been an overall success. I never thought Dan would come back, but I love that the goofy doofus is in.
As for the future of the series, Luke is said to be a look into what Street Fighter 6 may provide. I'm not sure what that means, exactly, but I wouldn't mind seeing a more MMA-focused Street Fighter. Maybe set it after the events of Third Strike so that we can finally get away from the same old cast and stories.
