Over the last few months, PlayStation Now has made a number of huge games accessible for a fixed monthly cost for its subscribers, with August alone seeing the debut of Hitman 2, Dead Cells, and Greedfall. Although Sony has been very clear that the service will never mimic Microsoft’s work on Game Pass, it’s clear its definitely offering a similar bargain to Xbox’s biggest subscription service.
PS Now subscribers will once again be treated to a similarly expansive haul this month, with PlayStation recently announcing that four huge new titles will hit the service in September. The lineup includes something for everyone, with Resident Evil 7, Final Fantasy 15, WWE 2K19, and Observation all debuting today.

For many, the biggest standout here is likely Resident Evil 7, with the widely-touted seventh mainline entry in the iconic horror series revitalizing the franchise in a big way. It’s gone on to become the best-selling Resident Evil title of all time and pulled in an impressive 86 on Metacritic at release. With Resident Evil 8 on the horizon, it makes sense that players want to catch up on the plot, with the protagonist of Resident Evil 7, Ethan Winters, continuing his story in the next entry.
Final Fantasy 15 is no slouch either, with the extensive RPG making waves when it dropped back in 2016. Final Fantasy is, of course, bigger than ever with the release of Final Fantasy 7 Remake, so those new to the long-running franchise could do much worse than jumping into one of the series’ more contemporary releases. It scored a respectable 83 on Metacritic at launch, with fans claiming it was one of the strongest Final Fantasy releases in recent years.
Alternatively, WWE 2K19 is likely one of the better entries in the annual wrestling franchise, with many of the sport series’ hardcore fans sticking with the title after WWE 2K20 was heralded as being among the worst games 2019 had to offer. The release’s campaign allows players to experience Daniel Bryan’s shocking 2018 return, while the title’s career mode finally featured a set storyline, which fans had been clamoring after for years.
Observation, on the other hand, sees players control the AI of a space station as they attempt to discover what happened to the vessel’s missing crew. It was largely heralded as an underrated gem by those who played it, scoring a decent 75 on Metacritic at release. All in all, it’s yet another fantastic month for PlayStation Now subscribers.
