Exciting News To Be Unveiled
Catch the latest news on the upcoming Pokemon games on Wednesday, August 18th for an exciting glimpse into three long-awaited games. The stream will start at 6:00 AM PDT and present new information covering the Pokemon Brilliant Diamond, Pokemon Shining Pearl, and Pokemon Legends Arceus games.
Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl are the Pokémon Diamond and Pearl remakes, respectively. Based on an earlier trailer released this year, the remakes will feature improved graphics both in the overworld and in battles.
However, the art style direction, especially the chibi heads that characters possess in the world, have drawn some criticism online. Regardless, the battle animations look visually stunning and the game seems to be a faithful recreation of the two original games.
Pokemon Legends Arceus will be the newest Pokemon game and teases an upgrade to a Zelda-like gameplay experience. In the older trailer released this year, the main character is seen traversing through a fully 3D world, crouching through tall grass, and attempting to throw Pokeballs at wild Pokemon. This game is a dream come true for many Pokemon fans, who have been hoping for more innovation from the basic gameplay loop of most Pokemon games.
Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Pokemon Shining Pearl will release in November of this year, while Pokemon Legends Arceus will release next year in January. Like with Pokémon Sword or Shield, all three new Pokemon games will be Switch exclusives. With only a few months left until the games’ release, it is hoped that this event can shed light on more of the details than the three trailers that we already have.
