Get ready to head to the wild wild west in Rocket League Season 4. Psyonix revealed a short trailer and details on its site about all the sweet new content coming to the game. One of the biggest highlights is a brand new arena, Deadeye Canyon, and a sweet-looking new car called the "Outlaw".
The Outlaw will be available exclusively in Rocket Pass Premium, which includes 70+ tiers of loot. The new loot includes No-Name Tapper, Tanker Wheels, Amikoo Decal, and Lava Boost. That's not all, however, as per usual all Rocket Pass Premium users will get an XP boost and extra weekly and season challenges. This season will also see an expanded schedule for competitive tournaments.

In terms of expanded competitive tournaments that will occur in all regions, 2v2 and extra mode tourneys are also joining the mix. Psyonix recommends checking the schedule each day to keep up with what extra mode is being featured and for new start times. Tournament rewards have also been updated for the new season.
New limited-time modes are also on the horizon, beginning with 2v2 Heatseeker on August 12, the day after the update goes live. That will be followed by Speed Demons on August 19. In that mode, it’s all about speed and will combine mutators, boomer ball without the uncontrollability of bouncing, demos upon contact as well as a faster respawn timer. Another mode to also be included in season four is Spring Loaded. It was previously only included as a rumble variant in private matches, and now it will be added to the mix of limited-time modes.
For those who enjoy streaming Rocket League, this update has you covered with the new features and changes. Firstly, it will include a streamer safe music feature, so players can feel free to stream their matches without fear of getting copyright strikes. Content creators should note that choosing this setting will affect both Rocket League Radio and Player Anthems.
The ability to forfeit is being added to casual play. Should all players on a team vote to concede a match, it will end as it would in competitive play. Rocket League is also going to start matchmaking bans for players who constantly forfeit in casual matches.
If you occasionally leave there will be no penalty but you can only do this once per day. Your bans will get longer the more you forfeit, however. Undersized party rank restrictions are also being added. Basically in 3v3, your party of two players must be within three ranks of each other to be able to queue up. The new update goes live today at 4 pm PDT to start prepping the game for a new season, and Season Three's competitive tournament will end at 7:30 am PDT. Then, the new season officially begins on August 11. Season Three rewards will be distributed once Season Four begins.
