Rumor: Leak Reveals New Characters for Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl

More characters appear to be headed to Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl. The new Super Smash Bros-like starring classic Nickelodeon cartoon characters has picked up a lot of steam since being revealed in July. Part of the excitement behind the fighter is the wide range of characters and their reveals. However, a fresh leak that came alongside a Nintendo eShop listing of Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl may have spilled the beans on multiple characters that have yet to be announced.

Nintendo recently posted Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl on its website as the first of the big three platforms to do so. The information on the posting provided details that fans were not yet privy to, including a possible October 5 release date that has not yet been confirmed, and the file size on the Switch. However, what some may not have noticed is that apparently when the game was first posted on the eShop, Nintendo uploaded an image showcasing a few roster members that developers Ludosity and Fair Play Labs and publisher GameMill Entertainment had not yet shared.

The following information should be considered a possible spoiler, as the leak could very well be true. So if someone is more interested in finding out the leaked characters the natural way–like the exciting April O'Neil and CatDog reveal videos–then reader be warned. The image that first appeared on the Nintendo eShop listing shows four new characters.

Aang and Korra from the Avatar series are two of the characters that are a part of the leak. Meanwhile, Ren and Stimpy from the beloved The Ren & Stimpy Show are the other two. The fighter additions would make plenty of sense, as thus far the Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl cast has spanned decades of popular shows and cherished characters, and these would fall perfectly in line with that way of thinking.

If there were anything to find fault with the possible leak, it seems odd that four brand new characters are somehow on this missing promotional image, especially considering the full cast has dozens of characters. Additionally, there is a lot of variety on the art other than these leaked fighters. One would think that characters like the powerful Danny Phantom or unique Nigel Thornberry would make the cut as opposed to double-ups of so many of the same shows with Avatar, Ren & Stimpy, The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, and Spongebob Squarepants.

However, in general, the art looks very believable and each new roster member fits right in with the other. And if it is true that it was indeed posted on Nintendo's eShop before it was swapped with a different piece of art, then it makes it hard to deny. It is likely that the new fighters will get their own reveal trailers at some point, so confirmation is likely on the way.
