After first appearing at the start of season seven, Superman has finally been officially added to Fortnite. His skin, as well as various other related items, can be unlocked right now.
Exactly what defines a superhero has been debated for decades. The likes of Spider-Man and The Flash, who both have superhuman abilities, are by definition, superheroes. However, Batman, whose superpower is being rich, and Black Widow, who is just really good at fighting, maybe not so much. In 2021, above all else, you really can't be a superhero until Epic deems it so and adds you to Fortnite.
That's a little awkward for Spidey who is yet to join his Marvel buddies in The Loop. However, everyone else mentioned above plus so many others from both Marvel and DC have already been added to Fortnite lore. You can now add Superman to the mix as Kal-El is officially unlockable in Fortnite starting today.

Superman first showed up at the start of season seven. The ongoing season is based around an alien invasion, so the arrival of a superpowered Kryptonian makes sense. However, Epic has held off on letting players unlock him for two months. The Superman quests are available now and task players with tracking down who has stolen Clark Kent's memories.
You will even have Superman's DC buddies Batman and Beast Boy to help you solve the mystery. Completing various Superman quests will unlock all sorts of related loot. That loot includes the Clark Kent skin which transforms into a Superman outfit, and back again when you enter a phone booth during a match. Go on to complete enough of this season's Epic Quests and you'll also unlock the very cool-looking shadow variant of the Superman skin and accompanying items.
Fortnite's hype tends to come in peaks and valleys. The launch of season seven was very much a peak, followed by an intentional lull. However, the game registered a major peak last week via the arrival of Ariana Grande. The pop star performed an in-game concert and joins the likes of Superman and Travis Scott as someone whose identity you can now assume in-game.
