The Outer Worlds Expansion ‘Murder on Eridanos’ Will Launch on The Nintendo Switch Soon
The Outer Worlds originally released in 2019 on the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC and has since launched on the Nintendo Switch in June 2020. Outer Worlds is sci-fi RPG that throws players into the midst of a deep conspiracy that threatens to destroy the Halycon Colony. Today, developers Obsidian Entertainment announced that the expansion, Murder on Eridanos, will be launching on the Nintendo Switch on 8th September 2021. Players must have a copy of the Outer Worlds base game to access the expansion.
In the expansion, players will head off to Eridanos and solve a murder mystery where everyone is a suspect. Halycon Helen, a famous spokesperson, has wound up dead ahead of the launch of the brand-new Spectrum Brown Vodka. To assist in the detective work, players are given a Discrepancy Amplifier, a tool that highlights otherwise unseen hints.
Eridanos is a floating world that offers a wide variety of environments, such as the Grand Colonial Hotel and Rizzo’s Groves. However, players must be wary of the threat of every person on the floating world. The expansion will also introduce three new science weapons and armor variants as well as an increased level cap that allows for more abilities and skills than ever before.
Besides the launch of the expansion on the Nintendo Switch, from 8th September, players will have access to Patch 1.5. Patch 1.5 addresses key bugs and issues including lip syncing on quest NPCs, tooltips, stability and backend improvements, Captain Irion’s animation and more. The patch will only become available from 8th September.
