There is officially more exciting stuff coming up for Final Fantasy 14 fans. The dates for Final Fantasy 14’s upcoming event, The Rising, have been announced, along with the rewards that come with it. The event begins on August 27, 2021 at 8:00 BST, and it ends on September 9, 2021 at 15:59 BST. This means that the event will begin just as the Moonfire Faire ends.

For The Rising, you must go to the Steps of Nald in Ul'dah and find an NPC named Kipih Jakkya, who is located at coordinates X:10.0, Y:8.7. Talking to her will let you start the quest Rising Calm, which kickstarts the event.
The rewards for this event include a couple cosmetic items—the Red Moon Parasol and Nymeia Potpourri. The Red Moon Parasol is a parasol that’s decorated with the Final Fantasy 14 logo, and Nymeia Potpourri allows you to cast a flowery circle in front of you.
In other Final Fantasy 14 news, Lead Story Designer Banri Oda spoke with 4gamer last week, answering questions from fans. This included commentary on the lore from Eorzea along with a discussion on how George R. R. Martin’s A Song of Ice and Fire “inspired the game’s writing in Heavensward.”
Additionally, more Final Fantasy 14 merch has been coming out, including a new poster book and picture book. Unfortunately, these haven’t been the easiest for fans to get their hands on, as they have been selling out almost as quickly as they’ve been released.
