Ubisoft has delayed the release of The Settlers reboot “until further notice.”
The series – which traces its roots to the early 1990s – hasn’t had a new entry since The Settlers 7: Paths to a Kingdomin 2010. So fans of the real-time strategy franchise have been looking forward to this latest game.
“We are incredibly grateful for your feedback, and over the last few months – while performing playtests and diary studies – one thing became clear: while we are on the right path to deliver a great game, we really want to deliver an exceptional gaming experience,” the developer writes.
Noting that “quality is our main priority,” the developer adds that “we want to take the time necessary to make it right.” They say that the additional time will be “used to address your feedback and deliver the best The Settlers game possible.
Is there a new release date?
Unfortunately, no.
“Rest assured we will keep you updated via The Settlers Alliance and our other channels as soon as we can give you further information,” the developer says.
Okay, how about a new trailer?
The latest gameplay that we have is from Gamescom 2019. The trailer features pre-alpha in-game footage. Check it out below!
