As you play Tribes of Midgard, you will earn Golden Horns. Unlike other items, Golden Horns persist between worlds and are one of the few permanent pieces of progression in this survival–roguelite. They are a currency that you can use to unlock plenty of other items.

However, Golden Horns are rare, so don't expect to find an abundance whilst playing Tribes of Midgard. This guide will cover everything that you need to know about Golden Horns, including how to get them and where you can use them.
How To Get Golden Horns In Tribes Of Midgard
There are many ways to get Golden Horns in Tribes of Midgard, such as the season pass, challenges, and by doing certain activities in worlds.
You can find the season pass under the rewards tab in the main menu on Tribes of Midgard. Every few levels, you will earn a bunch of Golden Horns as a reward. These rewards are automatically added to your inventory, so you don't need to claim them manually.
To find your challenges, head to the Progress tab in the main menu. Under Achievement Challenges, you will find two challenges that reward you with Golden Horns: Legendary Crafter and Paw Paw.

If you have earned all of the possible Golden Horns from leveling up and completing achievements, you are ready to find them out in Midgard.
Golden Horns can be earned whilst playing by defeating Jotnar and the Saga Boss. Jotnar are the behemoth enemies that spawn in the world occasionally and trample everything as they journey to your base. Each time you defeat a Jotunn, you will earn a Golden Horn. For defeating Fenrir, the Saga Boss, you will earn five Golden Horns.
However, if you die, you will lose all of these Golden Horns. To add them to your total, you need to successfully escape Midgard by using the Bifrost. When you interact with the Bifrost, a message will appear to let you know how many Golden Horns you will earn.
How To Use Golden Horns In Tribes Of Midgard
Golden Horns have two uses. They can be used either in the shop or at the Golden Altar.
The shop can be found in the main menu, like Rewards and Progress. In the shop, you will find various cosmetics and recipes that you can buy with Golden Horns. As the recipes are actual items that will benefit you in-game, we recommend you consider getting these before buying cosmetics. However, if you aren't interested in cosmetic skins or new recipes, you can also spend your Golden Horns at the Golden Altar. You will find the Altar in the hall behind Dagny the Seeress.
When you spend Golden Horns at the Altar, you will receive a Rune that gives you special bonuses. For example, the Nott For Speed rune will make you move 20% faster during the night.
