The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess has a large number of Pieces of Heart to collect, even when compared to most other The Legend of Zelda games. To complete a new Heart Container, players need to collect five Pieces of Heart rather than the traditional four pieces from previous games. To find these pieces, the player is typically required to solve intricate puzzles, defeat enemies, or explore hard-to-reach locations.

Certain Pieces of Heart, however, take almost no effort to obtain. With so many pieces in the game, it is understandable that some are practically offered to the player as gifts.
10 One Resting On A Branch In South Hyrule Field
One of the first Pieces of Heart the player can find is in South Hyrule Field. Near the center of the field by a bridge lives a collection of trees. A Piece of Heart rests on a branch of one of the trees.
To collect the Piece of Heart, all the player must do is lock onto it and then throw the Gale Boomerang. It is a simple procedure to earn a new piece, and it also serves as a reminder to the player to remember the boomerang when trying to claim valuable treasures. This is an important lesson, as the player is required to use this skill to collect multiple other Pieces of Heart.
9 One Sitting On A Rock Formation In Kakariko Gorge
This Piece of Heart is located in the portion of Hyrule Field that the Kakariko Gorge runs through, close to the entrance to Kakariko Village. It is found perched on a massive rock that rises out of the middle of the gorge.
The player must use the Gale Boomerang to grab the life-giving treasure. This Piece of Heart resides close to the previous one listed, and it demands the exact same method to collect it, but with the game’s grand total of 45 Pieces of Heart to collect, the repeated simplicity is welcomed.
8 One Hidden Under Rocks In Kakariko Village
The player can find this piece once they have completed the second dungeon and are able to use Bomb Arrows. There is an odd grouping of three boulders sitting on the top of the cliff-side near the entrance to Kakariko Village and the Spirit Spring. Underneath the boulders hides a Piece of Heart.

To get this piece, the player must first destroy the stones by shooting them with a Bomb Arrow. Once they are destroyed, the lone Piece of Heart will remain in its place. The player is then free to once again use the Gale Boomerang to grab their prize.
7 One Hidden In A Sunken Treasure Chest In Kakariko Village
This Piece of Heart is hidden surprisingly close by to the previous one. Below the boulders that hid the last piece rests another massive stone. Destroying this boulder with a Bomb or Bomb Arrow will reveal a cave and a path that leads to the top of nearby Spirit Spring. The spring is actually a deep pool that generates all of the water that flows into the spring’s lower area.
From the top of the path, the player must dive into the pool and then sink to the bottom by equipping the Iron Boots. There they will find a lone treasure chest that contains a Piece of Heart.
6 One Earned By Winning The Sharpshooting Challenge
While collecting this Piece of Heart does involve more activity than most others on this list, it cannot be said that it requires any noteworthy amount of planning or skill. It only requires the player to win young Talo’s sharpshooting challenge by using the Bow and Arrows to hit a total of three targets, with each subsequent target being farther away than the previous one.
After landing a hit on the final target, a pole fixed to the top of a far-off watchtower, Talo’s brother Malo will reward the player for their efforts by giving them a new Piece of Heart.
5 One Hidden In A Treasure Chest By The Entrance To Eldin Plain
This Piece of heart serves a final gift to the player from Kakariko Village. There are steep canyon walls on both sides of the trail leading out of town an onto Eldin Plain. On one side, there is a path Link can climb.

If the player climbs the path, they will reach a point where the cliff-sides come close together. To cross over, they must first destroy a boulder with a Bomb or Bomb Arrow and then hop across the gap and grab hold of the vines growing on the cliff face. Once they are safely across, the player must walk down the path and to the treasure chest containing a Piece of Heart.
4 One Sitting On The Island In The Fishing Hole
Finding this piece involves taking a relaxing fishing trip, so the entire process is, in general, an easy and relaxing experience. Aiming the Fishing Rod correctly is the only part that requires some focus.
To grab this piece, the player must travel to the Fishing Hole in the northern section of the Lanayru Providence and ask the shop owner, Hena, to take them out on the pond in a boat. In the middle of the pond is a stone island. On that island, the player can see a Piece of Heart that is resting high up on a groove in the stone. The player must paddle to the rock and then cast their line at the Piece of Heart to hook it and reel it in.
3 One Stuffed Inside A Cooked Boar
This Piece of Heart is one of the absolute easiest in the game to acquire. The only issue is that its hiding place is one of the most unorthodox and bizarre ever seen in a Zelda game.
Many Bulbins make their home in the ruins outside of the Arbiter’s Grounds. If the player defeats all of the Bulbins and explores the area, the player will eventually find a boar being roasted over a campfire. This carcass can be attacked, and if the player deals enough damage to it, it will explode and leave a Piece of Heart in its place.
2 One Earned From Talking To Cats
Collecting this Piece of Heart will not be fun for those will very poor memories, but being given a Piece of Heart by a Cucco for befriending a group of cats is a prime example of effortlessness. As a mini-game of sorts, the player is tasked by a Cucco to speak with the cats that roam the Hidden Village.
The player can complete this task when they make a return trip to the Hidden Village, which is north of the Eldin Bridge, after freeing it from the Bulbins that took it over. Scattered throughout the town are 20 cats, and the Link is asked to introduce himself to all of them while in wolf form. Once done, the player can return to the Cucco to be told the location of their Piece of Heart reward.
1 One Found By Moving A Statue
Once power has been restored to the Dominion Rod, the player can use it to control and move multiple statues scattered across Hyrule. These statues lead to story progression, but they also lead to various treasures.
One such treasure is a Piece of Heart located on the southern end of the Eldin Bridge. On the northern end of the bridge rests a statue, which the player can control with the Dominion Rod. If the player makes the statue walk from the northern end of the bridge to the southern end, they can then use it as a platform to reach a ladder that leads to the top of a stone wall. Once they hop across the statue and climb the ladder, they can open the treasure chest at the top to claim another Piece of Heart.
