Following the popularity of The Witcher TV series, Netflix decided to produce further adaptations of the famous video game franchise to please gaming enthusiasts. So The Witcher: Nightmare of the Wolf animated series is coming soon.
Fans of The Witcher series are witnessing a moment they have been anticipating for years. Following the obvious popularity of Andrzej Sapkowski’s book series and the following boom due to CD Projekt’s Witcher video games, Netflix is now charged with breathing some new life into the franchise.
We saw a teaser trailer a few weeks ago that previewed a little of what this new animated adventure – headed by a youthful Vesemir – would provide. Netflix has published a new trailer for the animated feature based on the novels of Andrzej Sapkowski.
In this new teaser trailer for The Witcher: Nightmare of the Wolf, Netflix returns to demonstrating a high level of animation quality, as well as letting us see some settings from Sapkowski’s fantastic novels that Vesemir, the mastermind behind the well-known Geralt of Rivia and the film’s protagonist, will traverse.
The Witcher: Nightmare of the Wolf arrives on Netflix on August 23. It serves as a prequel to The Witcher live-action TV series. Season Two of that show is coming in December 2021.
