Can you believe that it’s been 20 years since the original Super Monkey Ball? To celebrate, Sega has unveiled Super Monkey Ball Banana Mania, a high-definition remastering of the series’ first three titles (Super Monkey Ball, Super Monkey Ball 2, and Super Monkey Ball Deluxe).
Many video games are leaked ahead of time before they are officially revealed, sometimes because companies publish files ahead of time. That’s what occurred with Banana Mania. It finally emerged during this week’s Nintendo Direct after numerous photos and the cover was leaked.
Although it was revealed during Nintendo’s E3 2021 presentation, the title is also coming out on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S, and PC in addition to the Nintendo Switch. Super Monkey Ball Banana Mania is set to launch on October 5.
The collection will feature almost 300 levels and mazes, 12 mini-games, and a cast of characters that fans of the series will instantly know. The studio wanted to keep faithful to the originals in order to properly commemorate the 20th anniversary.
