One of the major perks for the Xbox Live Gold membership comes in the form of the Games With Gold titles that are available to all members for free once a month, and remain available as long as they stay a member. The next set of games the Microsoft has released through this Games With Gold program have gone live, with players able to pick up the September titles right now.
Players who are either currently members of the paid portion of Xbox Live or have the Ultimate Game Pass subscription can now download the newly announced titles for free. In addition, these titles will be available after September for any players that claimed them as long as they continue to be an Xbox Live Gold member.

The recently announced September Games With Gold titles include Warhammer: Chaosbane and Zone of the Enders HD Collection, with the first game being for Xbox One and the second being for Xbox 360 and playable with backwards compatibility. These games were originally intended to go live for Xbox Live Gold members on September 1st, where they would continue to be available until the 15th. So, with them becoming claimable several days early, the window to pick up these two titles may have extended for an extra few days.
Players can also expect to see two more titles arrive later on in September, as the Games with Gold program often transitions between two sets of games over the course of the month. Starting September 16th, players should also expect to be able to claim and download Mulaka and Samurai Showdown 2. Other titles are also available in other regions around the world, such as A World of Keflings being free to claim for anyone logging in from South Africa.
This current list of games have several players excited for the rest of the month, especially with the cult classic Zone of the Enders arriving in its updated form released from the Xbox 360 era. Some fans of Warhammer: Chaosbane have also started to voice their excitement at the chance to give the game another try for free, or see more players learn to appreciate the title now that it has become more accessible. Either way, the general response is good news for the future of Games With Gold, especially as the program continues to compete with similar giveaways on other systems and the success of Xbox's own Game Pass subscription.
