There have previously been rumours about Battlefield 6 coming to Xbox Gamepass on Launch, but we might have just gotten a little more credibility even though they came from Tom Henderson, who has been right about this game for most of the time.
Xbox has just dropped a hint on Twitter which stated “June is our favorite month. it rhymes with soon” this is very similar to the Battlefield account tweeting “Words that rhyme with Soon: June Boom” and Xbox replied with “Room (to make on our hard drive).” which really didn’t hint at the Possibility of Battlefield 6 being on Gamepass Day One but EA’s and now on the latest tweet which dropped a hint Battlefield’s Social Media Manager has replied with “Wait a minute.”
I am pretty sure at this point that Battlefield 6 will be at Xbox’s E3 event, and they will most likely talk about this gamepass thing.
Another hint was in the Xbox Blog Post, which stated, “Oh, and don’t forget to make sure your popcorn supply is stocked up before you tune in to the Xbox & Bethesda Games Showcase where we’ll plan to share additional Xbox Game Pass news. See you on June 13!”
I think putting Battlefield 6 on Gamepass could be a very weird decision, but again their sales are mostly on PlayStation and PC, so I do no think that it cannot happen. They might be looking to just expand their player base if Gamepass can make Outriders a game that was not really hyped by the industry succeed much, then I think it might end up doing wonders with Battlefield, but again, let’s see, I am just really confused about this situation.
Battlefield 6 is set to be revealed on June 9. I do not think that there will be anything about it being on Xbox Gamepass, though; however, I would expect some sort of announcement at Xbox’s E3 Event because these rumours are most likely true.
Battlefield 6 could become the most played game on Gamepass only a few time just because of how big the franchise is, and I do not think that this deal was cheap for Microsoft. You can tell that Xbox’s Main Focus is on Subscription Services rather than just selling consoles.
I am not a big fan of this direction, but from a business perspective, this seems like a genius move by Xbox.
