Xbox boss Phil Spencer recently talked about how a lack of major exclusives in the Xbox Series X/S’ launch lineup isn’t going to hurt the next-gen duo’s sales off the gate, and it seems he was right on the money. The two new Xbox consoles launched globally a couple of days ago, and it seems they have gotten off to a great start.
Taking recently to Twitter, Phil Spencer said that the Xbox Series X and Series S have enjoyed the largest launch ever in Xbox history, and within 24 hours of release, sold more new consoles in more countries than any other Xbox console has before at launch.
Spencer also went on to add that Microsoft is working with retail to send in new stocks of the two consoles “as quickly as possible.” Supply hasn’t been able to keep up with demand in the case of all new consoles that have launched, so those that haven’t managed to get their hands on one of the two new Xbox machines might have better luck soon.

Thank you for supporting the largest launch in Xbox history. In 24 hrs more new consoles sold, in more countries, than ever before. We’re working with retail to resupply as quickly as possible. You continue to show us the connective power of play is more important than ever.
