Exciting News From Around the Globe
We just got an update from Square Enix that featured the announcement of six new Dragon Quest titles, so you could be forgiven for assuming the video game giant would be lying low during its E3 appearance. You would still be wrong, however, because Square Enix has also just announced that the summer edition of Square Enix Presents will be airing as a Keynote at the all-digital E3 2021. The showcase will also be live-streamed on Square Enix’s official YouTube and Twitch channels if you’d prefer to watch it there. And trust us, you won’t want to miss this showcase, which will last 40 minutes and will feature a ton of updates on existing games and at least one brand new title.
This episode of Square Enix Presents will include:
- The world premiere of a new game from Eidos–Montréal
- An exciting update on BABYLON’S FALL
- Details about Marvel’s Avengers Expansion: Black Panther- War for Wakanda and updates on upcoming in-game events
- A deep dive on Life is Strange: True Colors and a first look at Life is Strange: Remastered Collection
The update on Babylon’s Fall is especially interesting because after the title was delayed from its original 2019 release date, we finally saw some movement in that area recently. Specifically, what appeared to be a closed beta test was added to Steam’s library, suggesting that the title may be quite close to completion. Very little has actually been said about Babylon’s Fall, but we look forward to learning more about it. At present, there’s no news regarding the upcoming Final Fantasy XVI, but we wouldn’t be surprised at all to hear that it will also be shown off during this episode. Where better to highlight the new Final Fantasy game than E3?
E3 2021 will take place from June 12th to June 15th, 2021.
