343 Industries has updated fans on the upcoming multiplayer flight for Halo Infinite, saying that there are still no concrete plans for the release date just yet.
The news comes from 343 community manager John Junyszek, who was asked when the multiplayer flight sessions will take place. In response to the question, John confirmed that there were no concrete plans just yet, although the team will reveal them ahead of time.

We’re constantly evaluating the flighting build, just like we do with MCC flights, and the exact timing is dictated by development realities. That said, once we have a firm date locked in, we’ll let you know ?

John said, “Halo Infinite multiplayer technical preview details will be made known ahead of time. It will not be a surprise. We’re constantly evaluating the flighting build, just like we do with MCC flights, and the exact timing is dictated by development realities. That said, once we have a firm date locked in, we’ll let you know”.
The last estimate given for the Halo Infinite multiplayer flights was “Summer”, and this announcement doesn’t confirm or deny that being the case. This statement simply says that the team is still working on the game and will announce a date as soon as the team knows it.
John also reminded players that to take part in the multiplayer flights, you’ll need to be signed up to the Halo Insider program. It’s not clear if it’ll be like other closed beta’s where only a certain amount of players will be allowed into the flight, but at the very least you need to be an Insider to be offered the chance.
It’s not currently known whether or not another beta or demo will come out that allows non-Halo Insiders to take part in the game, but considering how close we’re getting to launch, it’s better to be safe and sign up to make sure you get access to the flights whenever it releases.
It probably shouldn’t come as too much of a surprise that the multiplayer flights still don’t have a release date, as Halo Infinite itself hasn’t been given a concrete release timing beyond “Holiday 2021”. It’s pretty clear that 343 isn’t rushing the release of this one in any capacity.
