With all your adventuring, you'll be wanting to ensure your hard work doesn't go to waste. There are three save files available in the game, and an additional autosave file. How to Save in Monster Hunter Stories 2
Saving at Catavans
Catavan Stands are scattered across the world in the game, as well as each village/city hub having one also accompanied by a Felyne Catavaner. These stands are marked on the map with a paw logo. If you speak to the Catavaner NPC or interact with a Catavan Stand, you will be given the option to fast travel or to save your game, prompting you to choose one of the three available save slots.
Catavans also appear in Felyne Burrows, allowing you to save before boss battles, though not acting as a fast travel point. Catavans in the field are also where you can change the time of day to either morning or evening. Navirou will alert you to any new Catavan Stands that you come across while you are exploring.
Saving in Your House
You can also save by interacting with your bed inside of your house. Each village/city you visit will give you your own home to access, allowing you to save, as well as change the appearance of your character and your companions.
