Today, fans of the DS cult classic The World Ends With You are finally being treated to a brand new entry in the series – the aptly named NEO: The World Ends With You is available now on Nintendo Switch.
As those who've played the original will know, one of the series' standout features is its energetic soundtrack – something that we're happy to report is back in full force in this new entry. If you're into your gaming music and feel like treating yourself, pre-orders for the game's official soundtrack are now open (Europe here, and North America here).
"We are pleased to present the original soundtrack for NEO: The World Ends with You, the newest instalment in The World Ends with You series! Musician and composer Takeharu Ishimoto, creator of the original game’s beloved soundtrack, returns to the series true to form to deliver an immersive and wholly new soundtrack. In addition to new songs, the soundtrack also features new arrangements of popular tracks such as 'Twister' and 'Calling'."
The album is scheduled to release on 4th August and to celebrate (or maybe just in the hopes of tempting you into a sale), Square Enix has shared six tracks on YouTube. If you want a quick taste before putting an order in, check these out:
