inXile Entertainment have talked in the past about how their acquisition by Microsoft has helped the development of Wasteland 3, allowing the studio to allocate more budget and resources to the RPG’s development in order to make several improvements, and it seems that’s going to lead to a game much bigger in scope than what most would have initially expected.
Taking recently to Twitter, Aaron Greenberg, head of marketing at Xbox, mentioned that he recently spoke to inXile’s studio head Brian Fargo about Wasteland 3. According to him, the developer is “feeling really good about the game”, which is supposedly “coming in much larger than many expected”. According to Fargo, the game is “epic in size.”
inXile Entertainment have previous said that Wasteland 3 will offer over 50 hours of content, and will have at least 10 unique endings.
Wasteland 3 is out on August 28 for the PS4, Xbox One, and PC. You can get more details on the game through our interview with Brian Fargo from earlier this year.
inXile Entertainment recently also announced Frostpoint VR: Proving Grounds, a PvP game that will be coming “soon” to Oculus and Steam VR. Meanwhile, they are also currently at work on their first Microsoft first party exclusive project- an RPG being developed on Unreal Engine 5.
Just got off call with @BrianFargo @inXile_ent about Wasteland 3. Team feeling really good and game coming in much larger than many expected – “Epic in Size” from Brian Fargo himself. Cannot wait until August 28th! https://t.co/Eba2tUrwvU
