This year’s Tokyo Game Show has come and gone, however the results of the top-anticipated games from readers were shared, alongside top Japanese games media picks. The results are clear: fans are really excited for Genshin Impact.
The most-anticipated game for Japanese viewers of Tokyo Game Show was apparently Genshin Impact, which launched just after Tokyo Game Show concluded. Genshin Impact is developed by Chinese company miHoYo, and pulls lots of inspiration from Japanese video games and anime.

Developer miHoYo is also planning on releasing new characters over time, as well as new release platforms. Genshin Impact was also sold over $100 million within the first two weeks since it launched.
Genshin Impact is now available for Windows PC, PlayStation 4, and smartphones via iOS or Android. A Nintendo Switch version is planned.
