Sega have released a new gameplay trailer for upcoming puzzle game, Puyo Puyo Tetris 2.
Puyo Puyo Tetris 2 launches December 8th on Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, and early 2021 on Windows PC (via Steam).
As previously reported, the game boasts all of the modes from the original; such as versus mode of Puyo Puyo against Tetris, and Party Mode that throws in items and special challenges. New modes include Skill Battle Mode, an expanded online mode for up to four players, and a brand new adventure mode.
The new trailer focuses on the game’s new Skill Battle mode. Players select a team of three characters, all with their own stats and abilities. They can also be equipped with cards to improve their stats. As players complete chains, they fill their foes’ side with junk blocks (or Puyos) and reduce their HP.
In Free Play, players can play casually, or jump into the game’s online modes against other players, or take things to the next level with the competitive Puzzle Leagues.
