While we’ve known BlizzCon Online is set for February 2021, we haven’t really known how the now-online broadcast will be accessed, or if they’ll make people buy tickets like their previous in-person BlizzCon expos.
Now, Blizzard Entertainment president J. Allen Brack hosted a fireside chat and confirmed BlizzCon Online will be entirely free. “We want it to be a big, virtual celebration,” Brack said, “so BlizzConline will be free to watch and engage in.”
It’s worth noting pretty much no one is calling it “BlizzConline”, instead are calling it “BlizzCon Online.” February 2021 also brings with it Blizzard Entertainment’s 30th anniversary, as the company was founded in February 1991.
As for the exact dates for when BlizzCon Online is going down, you can catch the live event on February 19th and 20th, 2021.
The upcoming lineup of games from Blizzard include a Diablo IV, Overwatch 2, new content for World of Warcraft, and more.
