Playground Games have confirmed that their 2018 open world racing title Forza Horizon 4 will be receiving an Xbox Series X upgrade. Taking to Twitter via the official Forza Horizon page, they confirmed that on Microsoft’s upcoming next-gen console, the game will run in native 4K and at 60 FPS, and will have faster load times, higher visual fidelity, and improved draw distances.
This upgrade will be available when Xbox Series X launches, and Smart Delivery will, of course, be supported, which means if you have Forza Horizon 4 on Xbox One, you get the Xbox Series X version for free.
Recently, other first party Xbox One games have also been confirmed to receive Xbox Series X upgrades, including Ori and the Will of the Wisps (which will run in 4K at 120 FPS), Gears 5 (which will target 120 FPS in multiplayer), and Sea of Thieves.
Recently at the Xbox Games Showcase, Playground Games announced Fable for Xbox Series X and PC. Reports have suggested that the game will have MMO elements.
Forza Horizon 4 will be optimized for the Xbox Series X at launch with Smart Delivery.
