A Plague Tale: Innocence came out in 2019, but many are going through it for the first time thanks to the PS5 and Xbox Series X upgrade. There is also a sequel coming in 2022, which has piqued gamers' interest. The game has several trophies/achievements based on specific moments in the campaign.

Often there are subtle hints as to what these could be, both in the campaign and in each accolade description. Chapter 2 has one achievement/trophy most gamers can easily miss, where Amicia takes an apple from a tree and feeds it to Hugo. Not only is it worth doing for the reward, but there is also dialogue and character interactions you would not see otherwise.
Chapter 2
The second chapter starts off without any combat. Amicia and Hugo recently ran away from home after the inquisition attacked it and are on the run. When they head towards the nearest town they find it in shambles. Everybody refuses to help them and they walk through empty streets alone.

This is your first glimpse at how the plague has ruined towns and villages all across France. The ability to Feed Hugo is found in this section. If you reach the cutscene where the village people are burning people alive and start chasing the protagonists, you have gone too far.
Finding The One Good Apple Tree
A subtle hint is dropped at how to get this trophy when Hugo tries to eat a rotten apple but Amicia discourages him from doing so. He complains of intense hunger. When going through the town you run into a neighborhood with white Xs over the doors and burned furniture.
The area before is filled with dead ends, but there is only one entrance to this section of the town. Hugo runs into the middle and Amicia scolds him for getting so close, explaining that these houses are from people infected with the plague. From here, take two rights and then head left.
You'll clearly see the apple tree. Approach it and the game will prompt you to take an apple from the tree and feed it to Hugo. Hugo questions whether or not it is okay to take apples hanging from trees. Amicia responds by saying it is permissible under the circumstances.
If You Go Too Far
It is fairly easy to miss this if you do not explore every nook and cranny of the game world. If the cutscene triggers and the game saves, you have to restart the chapter in order to get another crack at it. Fortunately, it only takes a couple of minutes to reach the necessary part. If you already beat the game, it is easy enough to simply use the chapter select in the main menu. There are several other trophies with similar requirements. The world is also filled with little details and moments you can easily miss if you don't take time to observe and appreciate the surroundings.
