It now seems to be confirmed that we will be seeing the Alan Wake remaster soon, as it has appeared on a certain retail site, Rakuten Taiwan. The site lists Alan Wake remastered for PS4, PS5, and Xbox, and it shows the boxes with the art for the game with “Remastered” written across the top.

This is not a shocking development, as just last month, someone found something in the back end of the Epic Games Store that suggested Remedy was working on an Alan Wake remaster. A site called EpicData is what was used to find updates in the data files for the Epic Games Store, which suggested that the remaster was in the works.
Senior analyst at Niko Partners, Daniel Ahmad, has tweeted that the game will be officially announced next week, in response to a post of Rakuten Taiwan’s pages for the game. Perhaps this means that Alan Wake is going to get announced during the PlayStation Showcase next week.
We don’t know exactly what to expect during the PlayStation Showcase on September 9, but we know that it will be approximately 40 minutes long, and it’s likely to focus on upcoming games. According to the PlayStation blog, the show will “include updates from PlayStation Studios and some of the industry’s most imaginative developers, for games releasing this holiday and beyond." You can watch the show on either PlayStation’s Youtuber or Twitch channels.
