Last week, IO Interactive’s Hitman 3 debuted on top of UK charts for physical video game sales, displacing Animal Crossing: New Horizons. Now, the Switch exclusive has reclaimed the top spot (via GamesIndustry), while Hitman 3 sees a 68% week-on-week decline in sales, dropping down to No. 11.
Meanwhile, another evergreen Switch exclusive, Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, has climbed up one spot to second place, while Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War and Grand Theft Auto 5 have also ranked higher than they did last week.
Then there’s Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales, which continues to enjoy resurgent sales, but has dropped down to fifth sales. Every other game in the top 10 is a familiar face around these parts, including the likes of Minecraft (Switch), Ring Fit Adventure, Super Mario 3D All-Stars, and FIFA 21.
February is looking like a rather quiet month as far as major game releases are concerned, though Super Mario 3D World + Bowser’s Fury is out in a little over a week. It should be interesting to see how that performs.
