Yesterday, Apex Legends' Thrillseekers event began and it introduced a brand new map for Arenas called Overflow.
Overflow is set to the backdrop of an industrial facility akin to Hammond Robotics on the Battle Royale map World's Edge. It's built with the gamemode in mind rather than being stripped from other maps.

With that, it was made to be "lane focused" in that each location is split apart by "lava-filled structures." This means that you cannot spot the other team quite so easily while you also have to commit to a lane at the risk of being flanked. There's an emphasis on strategy.
Overflow is split into two different areas – Overlook and Slope. The former is a "long, open area" that sports "a central interior that gives a height advantage." If you're handy with a sniper, this might be the spot to head toward.
Otherwise, there's the slope. While it does also sport a high ground that provides ample opportunities for the snipers on the team, it also has a "unique area where players can slide down to a remote part of the map." You can use this to sneak around and flank the enemy team – it's perfect for short-range weaponry.
While the new map is live, so too is Thrillseekers which offers a slew of new skins that you can buy: Mirage is a clown and Gibraltar is a bull – it's a little bit off the rails. There's also the potential to nab some loot boxes through the reward tracker by partaking in the event's challenges.
You can make use of the new Arenas map too with the three new badges that are all centered around the gamemode. For instance, in week one, the goal is to play 20 Arena games total while, next week, you'll be tasked with getting 100 knockdowns. Week three is a bit tougher as the goal is 12,000 damage total.
Apex Legends is free-to-play and available on PC, Nintendo Switch, Xbox, and PlayStation.
