It feels like ever since Season 6 of Apex Legends began, players have been discovering a new bug, glitch, or something in dire need of fixing every other day. Within only a day of its launch, new playable character Rampart was causing the game to crash, though developer Respawn has since addressed those issues.

However, it seems one Rampart-related bug may have slipped under Respawn’s radar, as some Apex Legends players have reported that they’ve been struggling to destroy her barrier while using certain weapons.

Rampart’s Amped Cover ability is a great defensive tactic, used to protect teammates from enemy fire and can even be used to block enemy movement. It’s not indestructible, of course, and can be destroyed after a few hits, unless a player is wielding a Heirloom melee weapon.

One player shared a clip on Reddit, which showed that they needed to hit the barrier 14 times before it fell. It only seems to apply to Heirloom melee weapons, though, as it fell in two hits when the player swapped to only punching it.

While it’s good to know that this is only affecting one type of weapon and the barriers aren’t meant to be this sturdy, it’s still a problem otherwise and can turn players into vulnerable targets for the opposition.

News of the bug has reached Respawn’s game director Chad Greiner, who promised that a fix will arrive sometime next week, as the team is currently enjoying a week off.

Another relatively minor, but still troublesome, bug that has been plaguing players is one that causes certain weapons to go silent when firing. Respawn has already been made aware of this one too and stated that a fix for it is in the works.

A more notorious one is a bug that prevents players from reviving their teammates, sparking worries that players might be mistaken for deliberately ignoring their teammates.

It’s rather disappointing to know that Season 6 is mired in so many issues like these, though it doesn’t appear to have affected players’ excitement for Apex Legends‘ future. Dataminers have already delved into the game’s files and uncovered a number of unreleased skins that are believed to be added in September.

The files also mention a tropical island, which has fans theorising that the island in question is a new map, though if it is, it’s not clear whether it will be added during the current season or a future season.

Apex Legends is available on PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One, with a Switch version also in development.
