The trailer for these two characters showcased some of their moves, as well as giving a better look at how the brawler plays. April O'Neil is seen using some of the Ninja Turtles weapons, including Donatello's staff. Similarly to the Turtles, April is based on her 80's design, and not a newer iteration. CatDog uses its long length to act as a zoning character, stretching out to hit other players from far away. It's also seen puffing itself up to look buff and using items like tyres to throw at opponents.
It seems like there are around six more characters to be announced for Nickelodeon All-Stars Brawl, as the teaser trailer for this character announcement showed eight empty slots. With a character as surprising as April O'Neil, it's anyone's guess as to who could be added to the game next.
Fans have been trying to guess the Nickelodeon All-Stars Brawl roster based on the game's cover art, and it was always a bit obvious that CatDog was coming to the game thanks to its distinctive shape. Some of the characters that were guessed include Aang, Korra, Ren and Stimpy, and Krumm.
