It’s been more than a month since Patch 3 released for Baldur’s Gate 3, currently in early access for PC. Players have been checking for any updates on what’s coming next and Larian Studios knows it. Fortunately, it seems the next major patch is in development according to the studio on Twitter.
Noting that it sees fans “lurking Steam Database every day,” Larian Studios said that its team “is working away on Patch 4 at the moment and we’ll have more news for you soon.” It then offered a poll as to whether one of their offices had been flooded last week or not (which would explain why news on Patch 4 has been taking some time).
Baldur’s Gate 3 is currently available for PC and Google Stadia. It’s currently planned to remain in early access for a year, though the development team has remained committed to releasing it “when it’s done.” Patch 3 added numerous wholesale changes to the game, from making companions more “tolerant” to rebalancing dialogue skill checks and rewarding pacifist plays. Stay tuned for more details on the next big patch in the meantime.
