One of the many staples of any given entry in the Borderlands series is its laundry list of memorable characters. Since the very first installment, the characters of Borderlands have helped to define the franchise's tone and narrative over the course of several games. Now, one meticulous fan has managed to create an impressive cosplay of one of the most iconic characters in the series.
When most fans think of Borderlands, they tend to think of characters like Scooter or Handsome Jack, who have made lasting impressions on those who played the games. Though, the Borderlands universe is home to dozens of characters with unique personalities and character designs. This makes certain characters in the series prime candidates for cosplay, as one fan has managed to demonstrate.

A Twitter user named disfusional did a fantastic cosplay of Mad Moxxi. The character sports numerous outfits over the course of the Borderlands franchise, but the outfit disfusional chose to do was of Moxxi's outfit in Borderlands 3. Everything about this cosplay is wonderfully detailed, from the red top hat with bullets lining the rim to the playing cards and feathers sticking out of the top, the cosplay even features the black and white striped sleeves seen across every one of Moxxi's outfits.
It's nice to see such an inventive cosplay of a beloved character from Borderlands. The sheer number of characters featured throughout the series' chronology, as well as the cel-shaded art style that Borderlands is largely known for, lends itself to a lot of creativity when it comes to cosplay. The number of accurate Borderlands 3 cosplays within the last couple of years alone have been staggering.
In any case, it's amazing to see the longevity that Borderlands has had since the release of the original game back in 2009. The series is over a decade old and yet, it has managed to remain prevalent and popular within the gaming community. To the point where there will eventually be a Borderlands movie adaptation, released sometime in the coming years.
It will be interesting to see what the future has in store for Borderlands going forward. Aside from the upcoming film adaptation, not much else is known in terms of any future Borderlands projects. In fairness, there was a five-year gap between the release of Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel and Borderlands 3. Thus, it's unlikely that the Borderlands community will get to see another game in the series release anytime soon.
