Did you know that the Old Man in Breath of the Wild has a long-lost twin brother? Okay, it’s true, he doesn’t—technically speaking. But one fan who has an impressive amount of time on their hands has taken the Old Man on a journey across the map to “meet his brother,” and we are unsure whether to be impressed or concerned about this level of dedication.

The Old Man is technically located in different places on The Great Plateau at the same time. It seems that devs made the natural assumption that this would be fine, since there seemingly wasn’t a situation in which they’d have to worry about the Old Man ever coming across himself in an entirely different location. But Reddit user, ThornyFox, made it a point to prove that this isn’t true.
Starting with one of the locations of the Old Man in the forest, ThornyFox continuously sprinted directly into the Old Man, shoving him backwards just a little bit. In an impressive display of dedication, ThornyFox repeated this motion, over and over, ever-so-slowly pushing the Old Man all the way to another location that the Old Man can be found on The Great Plateau. At the end, we can see two versions of the Old Man standing together, as if they were twin brothers. You can watch the sped up video below.
Fans have been finding new ways to experience Breath of the Wild for a while now. Just recently, someone created an interactive map of Hyrule with a street view. The map functions quite similarly to Google maps, so players now have a much easier way to navigate all Hyrule without having to do so much backtracking. Nassim, the projects creator, stated that “This project seems like the first of its kind and I hope that this will encourage other devs or regular people to do this street view thingy for other games like Red Dead Redemption 2 and so on.”
