Call of Duty: Modern Warfare is getting another new event that caps off the end of Summer. The Modern Warfare Games of Summer event will run from August 28 to September 4.

The Modern Warfare Games of Summer event lets players from around the world compete for their country. The Games of Summer event is kicking off now and features five single-player trials and the chance to win tons of in-game rewards.

The Games of Summer event is part of the Modern Warfare Season 5 Reloaded update, which adds new guns and modes to the game. While the Season 5 Reloaded update released a few days ago on August 25, the Games of Summer event is kicking off today for all players. As mentioned above, the event gives players from around the world the chance to compete for their country against rival players. Players will compete in five single-player trials for high scores.

Each of the five trials start on different times and dates, so players will have to wait to play all five trials. The first available trial is the Gun Course, where players will make their way through a course while shooting enemy targets and avoiding civilians. The next four trials will be available each following day until all five trials are available. Additionally, players can earn stackable rewards for simply competing at all in the event.

All of the available trials can be replayed for more rewards, meaning the Season 5 Reloaded update is offering up tons of free rewards for simply playing the game. The subsequent trials are called Price’s Alley, Risky Parkour, Shooting Range, and Marksman Challenge. Rewards will be given to players based on their performance in each trial, so performing better means earning better rewards. Some of the rewards available through the event include weapons charms, weapon blueprints, and XP tokens.

This Summer of Games event follows a similar event that recently ended on Call of Duty: Mobile. Call of Duty: Mobile’s Summer event arrived with Season 8 and offered players the chance to earn a new operator skin with a unique skill. However, it’s fair to say that Modern Warfare and Warzone’s version of the event seems much more elaborate. Players can look forward to competing in the five trials until the event concludes on September 4.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare is available on PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
