CD Projekt RED have been on the receiving end of legal action following the launch of Cyberpunk 2077, which has seen widespread criticism for its poor console optimization. The developer previously said that it would take “vigorous action” to defend itself against claims of misrepresentation to investors leading to financial losses, and now, they’ve been hit with another lawsuit, registered by a law firm the United States District Court for the Central District of California.

The Polish company confirmed the same in a recent regulatory announcement. The claims brought against them in the lawsuit are, as per the developer, similar in nature and scope as the previous one, with claims of misrepresentation and misleading pre-launch comments, leading to monetary losses for the company’s investors. CDPR states once again that it will “undertake vigorous action to defend itself against any such claims.”

Recently, a report shed light on Cyberpunk 2077’s troubled development, including crunch during production and other issues that forced the developer to pare back their original vision for the project. Read more on that through here.

CD Projekt RED have shared a rough roadmap of their planned updates to fix the game over the course of the year. Poland’s Office of Competition and Consumer Protection has stated that CD Projekt could be hit with monetary fines should it fail to bring the game up to scratch with those planned update.

Cyberpunk 2077 is available on PS4, Xbox One, PC, and Stadia, though it still remains delisted from the PlayStation Store. Native PS5 and Xbox Series X/S versions are planned for late 2020.
