Remember when Bluepoint Games said that Demon’s Souls on the PS5 would have “thousands upon thousands” of new permutations with its character creator? In a new PlayStation Blog post, it’s offered more details and revealed that one’s appearance can be customized with up to 16 million permutations. There are “many more customization options” than those present in the PS3 release and the results are stunning.
But that’s not all. If you want to photograph your lovely creations as well, then the new Photo Mode should help. Along with options to show weapons and helmets or hide them and even remove one’s character from a scene, you can also pose and have different facial expressions. The usual litany of zoom options, film grain, focus, blur and other camera settings are also present along with filters.
Said filters can be used during gameplay as well. One of them is “designed to tune brightness, contrast and color levels to closely resemble those of the original PS3 game.” You can also turn everything monochrome, not unlike Ghost of Tsushima’s Kurosawa Mode.
Demon’s Souls is out on November 12th for PS5. For more details on the game, including Fractured Mode and the Nexus, head here.
