Bad news for fans of Anarchy, Destiny 2’s undisputed king of boss damage. Season 15 will bring an enormous nerf to Anarchy’s boss damage as Bungie lays out new sandbox changes coming in the next season.
There’s no way to put this gently, so we’re just going to come right out and say it: Anarchy will die next week. A 30% damage nerf to bosses is bad enough, but a reduction in total ammo from 26 to 16 also removes Anarchy’s versatility against regular mobs and Champion enemies. You’ve got until Tuesday before the new season goes live, so be sure to use Anarchy before then for old time’s sake.
But while Bungie taketh away, Bungie also gives. Fusion Rifles are getting a rework in Season 15 so that there's more delineating each archetype than just charge time. High-Impact Fusion Rifles will take a full second to charge up and only shoot five bolts, but each bolt will be more powerful. Meanwhile, Rapid-Fire Fusions will fire faster at just 0.46 seconds of charge time and also shoot nine bolts instead of seven, vastly increasing their overall DPS. Adaptive and Precision Frame Fusions will be largely the same, but will enjoy a slight damage buff as all Fusion Rifles get damage tuning to be greater than the buffs provided in Season 14.

Vex Mythoclast, the much-maligned Exotic reward from the Vault of Glass raid, is getting buffed to the moon. More range, better stability, shorter charge time on its alternate fire, and a 40% PvE damage buff are just a few of what Mythoclast is set to receive in Season 15, as well as no longer losing overcharge stacks if you swap weapons.
More Exotic changes are listed in the TWAB, but we've got to mention the return of a fan-favorite perk. Explosive Light, Wendigo's old perk, is set to return on next season's Rocket Launcher Ritual Weapon.
Season 15 will also bring back six old Legendary weapons and the Trials of the Nine weapons will be added to the Prophecy Dungeon with all new perks. Expect Exotic Primaries, Linear Fusion Rifles, and Caster Frame Swords to all get tweaked before Witch Queen arrives in early 2022.
