Destiny 2 Season 15 (Season of the Lost) Release Time

Destiny 2 fans might want to mark tomorrow on the calendar as a big day, as Bungie will hold a showcase event for The Witch Queen and subsequently launch Season 15. Because of how wrapped in mystery Season of the Lost is, logging into the game at the perfect time can be key, especially for those Destiny 2 players who have been doing their preparations for Season 15.

Destiny 2 Season of the Lost Release Time

Destiny 2's Season of the Lost will be available immediately after the end of The Witch Queen showcase, which means that the two are likely connected on a deeper level. This is a list of different times for multiple timezones, so as to allow everyone to jump on board at the right time:

Beginning tomorrow at 8 AM PT the maintenance for Destiny 2's 3.3.0 update will begin, and players should expect to be removed from the game within 8:45 PT. Then, Destiny 2 will be brought offline for maintenance, and the new Season of the Lost is scheduled to become available across all platforms and regions at 10 AM PT.

At that point, players will be able to log back into the game and experience the new content that Season 15 will bring, even though Bungie's maintenance is expected to conclude at 12 PM PT. As a reminder, starting tomorrow, Destiny 2 players will see their in-game name changed based on their Bungie Name. Furthermore, unclaimed Season of the Splicer rewards from the Season Pass will become available on Bungie's website.

Season of the Lost is Destiny 2's longest Season yet, as it will last for at least six months, leading the way to the release of The Witch Queen expansion. However, very little is known about Season 15, and players don't know what the story will entail nor what sort of seasonal activities to expect. This is about the opposite of what happened with Season of the Splicer, where players knew beforehand about Mithrax and the House of Light, as well as both seasonal activities in the form of Override and Expunge.

Still, Season of the Lost will feature plenty of changes to the game that were discussed in the TWAB posts leading to its release. There will be Exotic changes, nerfs to Warmind Cells, a new Iron Banner armor set, and Iron Banner weapons, and plenty of sandbox adjustments to many weapon archetypes. Another reason to be excited is that Mara Sov will finally come back, and her story will likely intertwine with that of Osiris, who has been acting in an increasingly suspicious way for three seasons now.

Players will also revisit the Dreaming City, and the first Nightfall of the Season will be The Hollowed Lair. This is an important piece of information because it essentially confirms that Season of the Lost will include Scorn Champions for the first time in Destiny 2, given that the Strike exclusively features Scorn enemies.

Destiny 2 is now available on PC, PS4, PS5, Stadia, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
