Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2: How To Get Your Flying License

Quick Links

Although Dragonball Xenoverse 2 has missions that take place on a small battlefield, there's still a feeling of an open-world environment that you have while exploring Conton City, which is the main hub world in Xenoverse 2. There are lots of things to do in Conton City, including train with fan-favorite characters and start new missions.

With all of the exploration you can do throughout Conton City, you'll quickly get bored of walking around. Luckily, you can obtain a flying license, which is an item that allows you to freely fly around Conton City at high speeds and explore areas that are otherwise unreachable. Here's how to obtain your flying license and everything you need to know about it.

What Can You Do With A Flying License In Dragonball Xenoverse 2?

Although the idea of flying quickly throughout the map is already enticing, you may be wondering if there are any new features that you can access once you've obtained your flying license. There are a few things that are only accessible if you have a flying license, such as new characters and high-up areas.

However, most of the new content that becomes accessible with a flying license are raids and expert missions. Raids are special quests that have unique battles, and they're much more difficult to complete than regular Parallel Quests. Expert missions are different from raids, but they have a similar concept because they're challenging and have a unique battle that a character like Goku would enjoy. You'll often need other players to help you defeat a raid or expert mission, especially if you've only attempted it a few times.

How To Gain Access To The Flying License In Dragonball Xenoverse 2

Luckily, the requirement for obtaining a flying license is easy. All you have to do to be given a flying license is complete the Frieza Saga in the main questline.

Although this requires a bit of dedication, it's worth it because by the time you've completed this saga, you'll have learned the core mechanics of Xenoverse 2 and be ready to start challenging raids. Upon completion of the Frieza Saga, the Grand Kai Of Time will grant you a flying license.

How To Start Raids After Obtaining Your Flying License

Since raids are the main mechanic that you gain access to after obtaining your flying license, it's important to know how to start them. To start a raid or expert mission, you need to fly to one of the glowing orbs in the sky above Conton City. These orbs are where you can select and start the individual raid mission.

Each raid is a time-limited event, so make sure to finish it before it disappears if you want the completion. Every raid contains a different enemy, such as Frieza. Raids are similar to DLC because the developers added them after the release of Xenoverse 2.

New raids are added to Dragonball Xenoverse 2 occasionally, so there's always something more difficult to complete. Expert missions are another type of unique quest that are similar to raids, except they're always at a set location and aren't a time-limited event. Both raids and expert missions have a six player maximum, and if you don't have player teammates, then you'll be given NPC teammates.
