A page taking pre-orders for an Elden Ring DLC controller might’ve revealed the Shadow Of The Erdtree’s release date, and it’s very soon.

Almost nothing is known about Elden Ring’s DLC expansion, Shadow Of The Erdtree, other than it’s in the works and that it seems to involve Miquella, brother of Malenia.

Developer FromSoftware announced the DLC back in February and a 2023 release seemed possible at the time, although clearly that didn’t happen. But a premature retail page for an Xbox controller might’ve revealed that the expansion is coming out in early 2024.

The page, which has now been taken down, was an ad for a limited edition Thrustmaster controller celebrating the release of Shadow Of The Erdtree, ‘available from February 2024.’

Along with pictures of the controllers, the ad said such things as, ‘Synch with new ‘Shadow Of The Erdtree’ expansion release – Elden Ring anniversary,’ and ‘Availability February 2024,’ seemingly revealing the launch time for the DLC.

That’s not all, though, as at the bottom of the page, seen via a Google cache page, there are suggestions that another Elden Ring DLC expansion could follow in 2025.

Beneath designs of other controllers, the ad, on Philippine site Data Blitz, says, ‘Release to be synchronised with 2025 Elden Ring major keybeat or new expansion.’

If Shadow Of The Erdtree is coming out in February 2024, it would be contradictory to what Elden Ring producer Yasuhiro Kitao said a couple of weeks ago, when he suggested ‘It’s still a long way off, but we’re making good progress.’

If true, that the expansion comes out early next year, it’s also strange that FromSoftware didn’t reveal anything about it at The Game Awards last week.

The page was quickly taken down, but you can see the cache page here and whatever else is going on those controllers definitely seem to be real.
