Hyper Scape is one of the newest battle royales to grace the market, and it’s fair to say that the game has a lot going for it. It is likely the fastest-paced battle royale available, and it has unique weapon upgrade and ability mechanics that create an interesting progression throughout each match.

For this list we’ll strictly be talking about the weapons; which ones are good and which ones are just okay. There’s no doubt you can kill another player with any of these weapons, but some are going to make it a measurably easier task.

11 D-TAP

dtap-6148959

While absolutely not a useless weapon, and arguably the easiest weapon to use in the game, the D-Tap just has a pretty rough time-to-kill. This weapon locks on an enemy in close-range with hipfire, and onto an enemy at a more medium range if you aim-down-sights. It comes in at a whopping… 5 damage per shot. That said, if you don’t have the best aim or if you’re good a juking an enemy’s shots, this is an easy weapon to ensure you’re going to land guaranteed damage on a target. As a backup, or if an enemy is escaping, this might not be a bad thing to keep in your pocket.

10 PROTOCOL V

protocol-1075002

Again, not a useless weapon, but the Protocol V is a pretty tough weapon to use on any enemy that knows of your presence and is smart enough to keep moving. When fully upgraded this thing does monster damage, especially on a headshot. And the weapon is hitscan, so you don’t have to compensate for travel time or anything like that. But with the speed that people move at in this game, it’s no easy feat to click on that head. This is definitely a high-skill weapon, and even then, most players with god-tier aim would be better suited to carry something like the Ripper.

9 DRAGONFLY

dragonfly-8380672

A semi-auto DMR-style weapon, the Dragonfly deals some pretty solid damage and is relatively easy to use, but missing a single shot seriously worsens the TTK.

This weapon does have a pretty nice scope for mid-range combat. But most of the time you’ll need to rely on your enemies having worse aim than you if you want to win the fight, which isn’t necessarily how you want fights to play out.

8 SALVO EPL

salvo-2774629

The Salvo EPL grenade launcher does some really solid damage, though the weapon can feel incredibly inconsistent. This is because the grenades that fire from the Salvo will bounce off surfaces and explode on contact with an enemy. A grenade can fire and roll right next to the foot of an enemy, but they can just sidestep a little way to get clear instead of it exploding and dealing heavy damage to them. Indoors this weapon is definitely useable as the likelihood of hitting your enemy with the grenade skyrockets in the confined quarters, but outside it’s going to be really tough going.

7 KOMODO

komodo-7270133

The Komodo is generally a better version of the Salvo for multiple reasons. There’s no drop to the projectile this fires, and it explodes directly on contact with a surface, meaning you can very easily take care of an enemy by just shooting in their vicinity as opposed to having to absolutely dead-eye them with the Salvo. The damage on this is solid, and the TTK isn’t insane but it’s definitely enough to keep this thing in serious consideration.

6 RIOT ONE

riot-5451445

The Riot One is a semi-automatic pistol that deals really solid damage, even at range. All it requires it some seriously good aim. It’s not as punishing to miss with this as it is the Protocol or the Dragonfly for a couple of reasons. The rate of fire is much better than the Protocol, and the damage is much better than the Dragonfly. If you can keep the Riot on target, especially landing headshots, it’s going to absolutely devastate your enemy.

5 SKYBREAKER

skybreaker-8181705

At first glance, this weapon looks a bit tough to use. You get one shot and then you have to reload. But in a lot of situations, it might actually be worth it. Just like a well-placed mine can be really helpful as it deals some nice extra damage to give you a starting advantage in a gunfight, the Skybreaker can do that, just on the other end of the fight. Got an enemy at low health but have to reload? Just pull this thing out and finish them off, one shot from this beast is likely to do it.

4 HEXFIRE

hexfire-9434318

This is easily one of the most popular weapons in Hyper Scape. The only real drawback to the Hexfire is its accuracy, as even when keeping your sights directly on somebody, some of the bullets are going to miss, making the weapon feel a little bit inconsistent. Still, you can fire this thing until the end of time, and the potential DPS on it is pretty nutty.

3 HARPY

harpy-3323643

Another weapon with some crazy DPS, the Harpy is a really easy-to-use weapon in close-quarters that’s going to reward a consistent hand. This is one of the few weapons that can give you a fighting chance against a shotgun in close range as long as you can dodge just one of those shotgun blasts while keeping this thing on target.

There’s not a lot of kick, and the slight inaccuracy of the weapon isn’t going to come into play at that range. All things considered, it’s a solid choice.

2 MAMMOTH

mammoth-3106231

Being the only shotgun in Hyper Scape, the Mammoth is predictably an absolute titan in close-range, allowing you to easily two-shot an enemy if you’re able to land solid and direct hits. This can be a tough ask in a game where everybody jumps and jukes like a certain famous blue hedgehog, but in terms of potential, this weapon has it in spades.

1 RIPPER

ripper-3950269

The thing that lurks in that dark closet, the monster under the bed, the weapon John Wick himself has nightmares about, the Ripper is the most frightening thing to go up against in Hyper Scape when it’s coming from a high-skill player. Someone who’s able to land reliable headshots is going to be able to take you down before you have more than half a second to react, especially if it’s of the gold variety. This weapon might not be that dangerous in an average player’s hands. But put it in the hands a top-fragger and you know how the match is going to end long before you get there.
